hand psye visuals
Here's another outdoor music event that I helped with, called "Hand Psye Coordination". The concept for the stage was an alien inspired by The Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth. I treated this project as an extension of my Tangent Circle Visuals except it was an actual eyeball that the player is controlling.
We worked with local spray paint artist KZAM to create the stage. He purposefully left the eyes blank to allow for the projections to display without any obstructions at night.
Once again, I collaborated with Twisted Pixel Visuals for the projection mapping. Similar to last time, I rendered the eyes in Unity and fed them to Resolume through Spout. In addition, I used Keijiro's Midi Bridge plugin to send MIDI signals to Resolume.
The controls allowed the player to move the left and right eyes with the respective analog sticks, roll the eyes with the dpad (which also changed the layers in Resolume via MIDI), and dilate the pupils with the triggers.
